TIFF : Where to spot celebs and be seen during TIFF

The Toronto Film Festival has started, and is taking over the city with parties, celebrities and star-gazing. With all the excitement going on in Toronto, you may be unsure of where to go to see the red carpet celebrities or to be shot by paparazzi. Well, we’ll help out with our list of the places to be scene during TIFF 2010.

Avenue Lounge & Lobby Bar

The Four Seasons Hotel attracts many big time celebs, like George Clooney and Jude Law, because of their luxurious rooms and their lounge and bar. Sip champagne and enjoy food while enjoying photographer George Pimentel’s new photo installation “One Shot”




C LoungeThe nightclub has an outdoor cabana that serves as a perfect location for film festival parties. Celebrities seen at C Lounge are Maggie Gyllenhall and Donnie Walberg, and this year the nightclub is hosting the Nikki Beach VIP party.



Rooftop Lounge at the Thompson HotelThe recently opened Thompson Hotel has hosted many parties since its opening, including the Virgin Airlines launch party with Sir Richard Branson and Drake. The Rooftop lounge, that’s accessible to hotel guests and card holding VIPs only, has a rooftop pool, as well as an unobstructed 360 degree view of the city.

 

Park Hyatt Hotel’s Roof Lounge

Located on the 18th floor of the Park Hyatt, this lounge has leather chairs, suede walls, and fire places that work well with the colder weather. Celebrities seen here are Jennifer Aniston, Russel Crowe, Al Pacino, and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie




Panorama Lounge

Located in the Manulife Centre’s 51st floor, the sky-high patio gives an amazing view of the Toronto skyline. Charlize Theron is one star known to take the elevator up to this lounge.


SottoSotto

The restaurant attracts many stars during TIFF, like Brad Pitt, for the delicious Italian cuisine and intimate setting. Located in Yorkville, the restaurant was closed down at last years TIFF for a private dinner party for Oprah and her friends.

Bistro 990

This bistro is reminiscent of a rustic French bistro, and stars love that about this restaurant. Paris Hilton, Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden, and Adrien Grenier have been seen eating here.


One Restaurant at The Hazelton Hotel

The Hazelton Hotel has become the must-stay hotel for celebrities. The five star hotel has luxurious rooms, amazing art collections, and even a private screening room. The restaurant includes world class food, and privacy, with tall trees placed around the patio to keep the public and paparazzi out.

Starbucks

Stars are just like us and need their morning coffee, and the Starbucks on Yorkville Ave. is located right beside the Four Seasons, The Hazelton Hotel and the Park Hyatt, so there is always someone running in to grab a latte.




Whole Foods Market

Holt Renfrew

The luxury shopping department store is home to some the most luxurious fashion labels, and stars love shopping here for a red carpet premiere, or an after party. Holt Renfrew has private shopping suites for stars, where they can shop, sip champagne and get their makeup done.

 

Greorge C

The boutique on Hazelton Avenue, has some hard to find designers like Derek Lam, Missoni, and Costume National.
