With the opening of Armani Hotel in Dubai and Diane Von Furstenburg’s collaboration with Claridge’s London this year, fashion house Louis Vuitton has decided to expand their hotel business too. They announced that they are launching two new hotel ventures in Oman and Egypt. The fashion label already owns hotel Cheval Blanc in France (pictured above).
The new hotels, listed under the Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton group (LVMH), are currently being built and are slated to open in 2012. The Maison Cheval Blanc in Oman is on the 11 square – kilometer island of Al Sodah and will include 32 private villas. The development in Egypt is on the private island of Amoun in Aswan and will include about 40 designer suites overlooking the Nile. We can’t wait to see the pictures when the hotels are ready for opening!
Toronto Is Fashion has compiled a list of a few dream worthy, fashion designer hotels below:
1) Karl Lagerfeld’s Schlosshotel im Grunewald: This mini- palace in Berlin is luxury at its best, with all 53 rooms designed to be unique and different by Karl Lagerfeld himself. The hotel features exercise and sport areas as well as a full spa including a Finnish sauna. The price of a room here starts at $400.
3) Bulgari Bali: The fashion label has two hotels, one in Milan and another in Bali. Bulgari Bali features 59 private villas perched on a cliff, with an elevator to bring guests down to the beach. The spa offers a complete range of Balinese, Asian, and European services and each villa offers stunning views. A night here will range from $750 to $1,550.
