On Tuesday, October 26th, luxury designer destination The Room played host to another high-profile designer L’Wren Scott. The reception was a meet and greet with the designer as well as to showcase her fabulous collection of gowns, day wear and shoes. L’Wren Scott worked the room, talking to guests, media and admirers, generously posing for pictures and showing off her latest designs.
The collection itself spoke of elegance and detail, which can be seen in the tremendously well-done sequence work. Some of our favorite pieces of the showcase were a fade-out peach to gold sequence dress, and a long, floor length frock with black and gold sequence which is reminiscent of vintage Hollywood red carpets. Although most of the collection was based around black and white, the designer showed she had no fear of using colours with bold cardigans and throws. With events like this, and more to come, The Bay is definitely stepping up their game and is bringing department store luxury back to Canada.
