Look good, feel good with TOMS

TOMS, the company known for starting a global movement through its One for One® business model, has launched into 2015 with creative collections that give back.

In March, TOMS released their TOMS bag collection in an initiative that saw funds from bag purchases going to help provide safe births in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Haiti and India. Highlighting the issue of maternal health worldwide, the company will  help provide training for skilled birth attendants, along with a safe birth kit that includes vital materials like soap, gloves, gauze, a cord clamp, surgical blade and a clean surface to help a woman safely give birth

This month, TOMS has launched another campaign, the eighth annual One Day Without Shoes initiative. See more information on this, and how you can get involved, after the photos.

TOMS – One Day Without Shoes

Now until Thursday, May 21, TOMS is asking Canadians and people around the world to take to social media to support One Day Without Shoes, which works to raise awareness of the millions of children around the world who live without proper footwear. This year, to celebrate the eighth annual One Day Without Shoes initiative, TOMS will donate up to one million pairs of shoes for barefoot photos posted on Instagram between May 5 and May 21 that include the tag#withoutshoes.

It’s easy to participate – people across the world simply need to post a photo of their bare feet on Instagram, tag #withoutshoes, and TOMS will donate a pair of shoes to children in need – no purchase necessary.

This year’s One Day Without Shoes will be different than any we’ve ever done. We’re extending the time frame to build awareness and anticipation, but most importantly, so that more people can participate in an effort to give more. The best part is that even if someone is not a TOMS customer, he or she can simply take a photo and post #withoutshoes to make sure a child in need somewhere in the world will get a new pair.

said TOMS’ founder and chief shoe giver Blake Mycoskie.
