7 Store Openings | New Fashion Retailers Coming Soon

Toronto has been getting a bit of an ego boost lately. International fashion brands and high-end labels have taken notice of our city and have been making some major announcements over the past few years. Canadian luxury staples like Simons and Harry Rosen have also been expanding and renovating here. While our neighbours in Vancouver are getting some amazing new retailers, including a large Prada flagship, here in Toronto there is reason to celebrate.

Here are 7 store openings coming to the GTA that we can get excited about!


 

1. Saks Fifth Avenue – Toronto On Thursday, February 18, Saks Fifth Avenue will open its doors to the public on Queen Street in Toronto! The four-story retailer will be a destination for luxury products and will feature an extensive selection of beauty, designer apparel, ???shoes and accessories.

Marc Metrick, President of Saks Fifth Avenue, together with renowned designer, Phillip Lim will be at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre Bridge on Thursday morning for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Phillip Lim will do a personal appearance and meet and greet in the afternoon.

2. Simons The Square One Simons location will open to the public the morning of Wednesday, March 17! A Scarborough Town Centre location in 2018, as well as a Yorkdale Shopping Centre store in 2019.

3. Christian Louboutin Store – Toronto – Shoe lovers rejoice! Toronto will be getting our very own stand-alone Christian Louboutin store. The shoe designs, known for their iconic red soles, will be opening in Toronto’s luxury Yorkville neighborhood.

4. Nordstrom – Toronto Eaton Centre – Nordstrom’s Toronto flagship is scheduled to open on September 16, 2016 at the north end of CF Toronto Eaton Centre. Nordstrom has also announced that Toronto will be home to a Nordstrom Rack, Canada’s first off-price location, and will open in 2018 at the corner of Yonge and Bloor Streets.

5. Holt Renfrew – To coincide with Square One’s expansion and newest shopping wing, Holt Renfrew will be opening a new and bigger location. The new space is set to open this summer 2016.

6. Woolrich – The American outdoors brand Woolrich plans to open 80 stores around the world over the next five years, and the company specifically states that Canada will be part of that expansion. While Toronto and Vancouver are both markets that Woolrich is interested in, Torontonians may have to wait until 2020 to start shopping.

7. Chanel – Toronto – While we already have a Chanel store, Toronto will be getting a new and revamped Chanel when they relocate to a 8,700 square foot store slated to open in early 2017.
