As we browsed through our hotel suite we kept finding one luxurious surprise after another. The hidden mirrored-television above the soaker tub, the beautiful furnishings draped in expensive fabrics, and the latest in in-room technology. Each suite offers a personal iPad to use, as well as offering a host of other perks like master controls in each room, outlet and computer adapters, and one of the most intelligent toilets we have ever come across!
After unpacking we decided to check out the Mandarin Oriental’s Spa for some much needed down time. The spa features several treatment options and offers and on-site pool and steam room. The aesthetics of the spa is luxurious and relaxing, matching the hotel’s overall high-end feel.
After the spa we indulged on the welcome gifts that were left for us in the living room, a generous assortment of fine chocolates, fresh fruit, and a bottle of champagne chilling on ice. The perfect ending to our first night in the ‘city of light.’
