We had a blast at this year’s National Ballet School Fundraising Gala. The theme for the event this year was ‘An Affair to Remember’ an evening that transported guests back to the 1950’s.
The event, an extremely important fundraising effort that supports financial assistance for students, was a chance for guests to dine on catered dishes, handcrafted cocktails and test their luck with a full casino and luxury raffle. This year’s raffle prizes included all inclusive getaways to France, Turks & Caicos, New York City and a stunning diamond necklace (valued at almost $8,000).
While our raffle purchase didn’t prove to be our ticket to a luxury getaway, we love that the proceeds will go to the arts (a subject close to our hearts and incredibly important).
The glamour and elegance of the 1950’s came to life at The Carlu, set against the picturesque backdrop of the New York City Skyline, the event space was transformed with gold and red accents alongside statues of the iconic Empire State Building. Guests dined on an exquisite four course, gourmet Mediterranean dinner and were treated to a special performance by the National Ballet Students showcasing both classical and contemporary choreography.
