Leading up to Father’s Day, a time when the focus is already on men and families, the Wear Plaid for Dad initiative will raise awareness and funds to help protect men from prostate cancer – the most common cancer affecting men.
On June 19th people across Canada will take part in Wear Plaid for Dad. Whether it’s a shirt, a tie, a scarf, or even a suit – if it’s plaid it’ll work! With just a simple wardrobe choice, you can help raise awareness about prostate cancer and encourage men to be screened for it.
You’ll be helping protect the 1 in 8 men who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
By using the hashtag #WEARPLAIDFORDAD on social media, you can join the conversations and take part in an Instagram contest for a chance to win prizes. Share your photos using the hashtag and there will be prizes for the best plaid!
