Korean skincare brand THEFACESHOP has been getting a lot of buzz in Canada recently. As evidenced by their increasingly busier Eaton Centre location, more consumers are becoming aware of the brand’s skincare and makeup products. THEFACESHOP is still relatively new to the Canadian market, but the company has seen a steady growth in global presence since it was created in Korea in 2003.
THEFACESHOP has kept a simple mission statement: offer affordable prices on high quality products made with the finest ingredients from nature to enhance everyone’s natural beauty. Bringing the benefits of nature back to skincare, THEFACESHOP offers a large range of products but keeps its promise for products that are beneficial for your skin. This mantra applies throughout their extensive collection of skin care, makeup, nail polishes, masks, moisturizers and hair care.
We’ve been using the Chia Seed face care from THEFACESHOP for about one month and we are absolutely in love with this product line! We have different skin types for sure, Richard is normal/oily and Marc is sensitive and dry, but we both use the Chia Seed foaming cleanser and toner. Those two products are unbelievably good! The Chia Seed line also includes moisturizers and serums, but they are targeted more specifically for oily skin. For sensitive skin, THEFACESHOP offers other naturally infused products like Rice Water, Calming Seed and Mango.
We’ve also had a chance to review some of the face masks that the company has in-stores, including a Lip Mask that is designed just for your lips! This unique mask contains marine collagen, hyaluronic acid, purslane (portulaca oleracea) – active ingredients that softly absorbs and cares for lips. We highly recommend this for summer, when lips tend to get a little drier. Skincare masks are each developed for specific skin types and problem areas, and range from $2 to $10. Staff at the store locations will help to find the right masks for you if you’re not sure which to buy.
Above are some photos from a recent event we attended for THEFACESHOP. The event opened our eyes to how much knowledge and research has gone into developing products that blend science and nature together. Speaking of nature, the event space was decorated with beautiful terrariums like the one pictured below.
We had the pleasure of making one of our own terrariums! You can see more on our other site, BEHIND THE BLOG.ca.
