Hilary MacMillan is a Toronto-based womenswear designer. Her self-titled brand was founded in early 2012 with a focus on creating wearable designs for the urban modern woman. Her effortless style is complemented with flattering silhouettes, and a modern femininity with a retro twist. The use of colour and prints is a design staple seen consistently throughout her collections.
Raised in Toronto, MacMillan always had an interest in fashion but it didn’t come to fruition until 2009 after she graduated from the University of British Columbia. She trained in Vancouver and then moved back to Toronto to open Elle Hardware, a jewellery and accessory boutique, with her sister. In early 2012 she created her Hilary MacMillan label, focusing on her love of well-designed signature pieces. MacMillan has showcased her collections twice at World MasterCard Fashion Week. MacMillan designs and manufactures all of her designs in Canada, keeping her products uniquely Canadian.
