To celebrate the upcoming historic Super Bowl 50, The National Football League (NFL) and Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) have teamed up for a unique collaboration.
Creating 50 one-of-a-kind footballs, the designer collectibles will be up for auction from Jan. 20 through Feb. 14 on the NFL Auction site with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit NFL Foundation.
We are pleased to partner with the NFL once again on this creative endeavor, which highlights CFDA Members unique talents and passion for creativity while giving back to youth and important fundraising initiatives,
said Adam Roth, the CFDA’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, in a statement.
We assume that most of you out there reading this, that like us, the last time you noticed the Super Bowl was for the commercials and half-time show. However, the NFL has been branching out to reach those who “aren’t really into sports” and make the Super Bowl something that can be embraced by everyone.
Keep these fashionable collaborations coming, and you’ve got our attention.
